A stripped-down version of the band Option 22 from the Princeton, W.Va. area, gets a groove on during a set that animated the Good News Garage space during the June ‘07 ArtWalk Event (which always takes place the third Thursday of each month). The band members shown (from left in the photo above) are Albert Perron, Lori McKinney and Robert Blankenship. The walls of the Hale Street space were also adorned with original artwork and photography by Blankenship and members of Princeton’s Riff Raff Arts Collective.

Option 22 will be among the featured acts at Culturefest 2007, a music and arts festival Sept. 14 to 17 at the Appalachian South Folklife Center in Pipestem, W.Va. Lori (below) says the groovemaking will go on deep, deep into the night. Watch for the band locally when they perform at Vandalia Lounge on Aug. 17 in Charleston.
