ART SOUGHT: Small is beautiful for National Miniature Exhibition
Renaissance Gallery, based in Huntington, W.Va., is seeking submissions to its Seventh National Miniature Exhibition The Renaissance Gallery is a small artist co-op located in the city of Huntington, W.Va., which draws its members from the surrounding tri-state area of western West Virginia, southern Ohio and eastern Kentucky. Many members are also members of the Tri-State Arts Association, although this is not required. Each year, the group hosts an exhibition of Miniature Art. The exhibition is open to all North American residents 18 years or older. All fine art media except copier reproductions accepted. Artwork must be the original and have been completed in the last year. For a prospectus, send a self-address stamp envelop to: The Renaissance Art Gallery, 900 Eighth Street, Suite 20, Huntington, WV 25701 or e-mail to gallerywv@yahoo.com.Last year, the exhibit featured more than 200 works from 39 states and two proveniences of Canada, in a wide variety of works, some traditional materials, others more experimental. There is no one style or theme for the event and both new and a traditional artist are encouraged to enter the exhibition.
Works are limited by size only. Two-dimensional works must have an image area no larger then 4 x 6 or 24 sq in. Frames should be larger then 6 x 8 or 48 sq in. Three-dimensional work must bbe limited to 8 inches in any direction, including the base or pedestal. Work must meet these requirements to be eligible for jury.

I am sorry I just got your inquiry. This show was in November, and they ran the request almost too late.
