Well, It's Over... Kay shut the doors after holding somewhat of a Halloween night blow-out.

I can only wish Kay the best of luck in whatever she does next and also hope that we get another beer cafe as good!

I really am not sure quite how to express my gratitude to rich, cindy boggs, doug imbrogno, john brown and all the other on-line and word-of- mouth supporters we have both in charleston and elsewhere. Since my emotions are quite astir at present, I shall avoid being maudlin by expressing my humble thanks on behalf of my family and me. We will strive to take the confidence and complements and do our best to "save the neighborhood pub". God bless you all for rallying around us so confidently and often. And yes, we are very kid friendly. We have a kid's menu, special placemats, crayons, coloring books, etc. We have also had special kid's music programs with Mountain Stage music director and accoustic guitarist Ron Sowell. We hope to begin those again soon. Check The Gazz on thursdays for more information (in the past these programs have been on saturdays from 3-4pm). Presently we are retooling lunch and will be open for dinner monday through saturday at 4:30. Check out our new web site created by patron dan brunton at www.okayspub.com. I presently only have a blackberry on which to go on-line, so updates to the web site may be slow in coming. But, as we have learn through our stewardship of this unique cultural phenomenon, much patience is required of the small business owner and their loyal supporters. We owe a debt of gratitude to ours. Remember, think global, eat local-and please come see us soon. We appreciate your business; it is our life blood!

I've never been, but would love to come down this weekend and try it out. What are the hours? Is it kid-friendly?
Thanks!

If you haven't been to O'Kays, you are missing out on one of the most comfortable places to socialize. Great people, great beverages and Kay is known for her fine recommendations of wine and beer. She's not just the owner--she is a fabulous hostess. Try it out...just once and you'll see why her regulars want O'kays to Stay!!!
