you can get graeters in ky also! and the local (good) krogers in ohio carry the pints.

Hey, amodernguy! I’m both offended and intrigued by your comment. Offended at the idea of my beloved Graeter’s being considered “run of the mill,” yet intrigued by this Aglamesis Brothers place and the idea of an ice cream so delicious. The ultimate question, though, is what’s the deal with Cincy’s ability to produce such amazing ice cream?

Yes, Graeter’s is good. But, hands down the BEST ice cream comes from Aglamesis Brothers in Cincy.

It makes Graeter’s seem like run of the mill.

Nice catch, Jennifer! Graeter’s is the, er, greatest ice cream in the world! There was a special on Food Network quite a while back where they explained the “French Pot Method.” It was fascinating. The best part is that the chocolate is dark and soft, not at all brittle.

I may have to order some Graeter’s now…

Nice hint. I’m all about Graeter’s too. Actually, I worked there for a while when I was in school at U.C. They maintain the “French Pot Method” and make the ice cream in small batches, and they break the chocolate by hand with paddles (which ends up being those “chips” at least the size of miniature Hershey bars.)

P.S. I thought Crocodile Rocky Road was clever.
