Charleston Walkabout w/Mountain Thyme
As recent visitors to this photoblog well know, “DowntownWV” has been in a coma the last several weeks ever since our camera keeled over. While we wait on bended knee for the Guardians of the Treasure Chest to deliver us another, take a gander at a new musical slideshow, a dawn-to-dusk walkabout through Charleston area streets featuring 80 photos drawn from the blog. Tap the photo above or click here to watch.
The slideshow is timed to a rich medley of tunes by troubadours Pam Curry, Jan Carroll, Libby Musser and Linda Workman of the long-time Appalachian Celtic group Mountain Thyme. The medley (Gile Mear, Plankty George Brabizon and Castle Kelly) is off the group’s 2006 CD “A Smile at the Door.” Track down the CD and learn more about the group at www.mtnthyme.com.
USER NOTE: Depending on your browser, you might give the show a couple minutes to load. Report back any problems with viewing it, with what version browser you are using and the speed of your web connection.

Hey Downtown, WV,
Does this mean that Walker DeVille will be back at some point? His photo blog is why I keep visiting The Gazz.
