Sad news…

Just ten days after Mac died, another of my parent’s dogs died, too. Rosie was only about 8 years old and seemed to be in really good health until a couple of days after Mac died. They took her to the vet, where they were told she was in kidney failure. The vet kept her on an IV for days, and she seemed to be improving. They knew they wouldn’t have her for long, but thought they’d at least get her home and maybe have a few more months. They were supposed to get her on Saturday, but early Saturday morning, they got a phone call saying she’d died during the night.

Rosie was such a bossy little character, quick to sound the alarm or put in her two cents. Their house feels far too quiet now. All that’s left is Daisy, who is deaf and seems partly blind, and their cat.

I am so sorry for your family’s loss. I can’t imagine how devastated your parents must be after losing another of their beloved pets.

I am so sorry for everything that your parents are going through, even you and your family. I know that everyone has to be heart broken. Again, I am so so sorry.

Thanks. My family has always been nuts about our animals, so when we lose one, it’s hard. And it’s hard to see your parents hurting, too.

My 17 year old cat Jasmine was the first and a week later, the 15 year old dog Nikki. There is never any humor in these situations; however, the remaining cat Morris started avoiding me after that. If pets can be paranoid, that cat was….–>
