QUOTES

In an effort to get myself blogging more regularly again, I’m going to try to start posting at least one of my favorite quotes every day, and I’d love it if others would posts theirs as well. (Click on comments, or send it to me by email at karinfuller@cnpapers.com.) I just ran across one today that isn’t especially deep or life-changing, but nicely apt.

“I am always doing that which I can not do, in order that I may learn how to do it.” ~Pablo Picasso

I read it in the blog of artist Sheona Hamilton-Grant, who does the most incredible horse and dog sketches I’ve ever seen.

One of my favorite quotes is:

“Ignorance can be overcome, but stupidity is forever.”

I have no idea who may have originally come up with this one, but it proves to be true every day. Simply be observant as you go about your day, watch the news, or read the newspaper. When you think about it in this light, you’ll see what I mean, which brings to mind another another thought: “There have to be gaurdian angels, because some of these people survive to #$@% up again another day!”

One of my favorites is “If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always gotten.” Anthony Robbins, I believe.

And from Maya Angelou (gotta love that woman!): “History, despite its wrenching pain, cannot be unlived, but if faced with courage, need not be lived again.”

MomTo4 — Those are both great ones! I especially like Maya Angelou’s.

And Mike — I think we know some of the same people!
