[...] karin always has something good to say. I like this one posted earlier today. Follow the link for the whole thing.c11.jpg I expect there are more socially acceptable techniques for meeting our neighbors, but doubt few would be as effective-or as exhaustive-as what we’ve experienced with my daughter’s dog, Chewie.
Karin: the person who lived in my house before me raised wire-haired fox TERRIERS. He buried six inches of the chainlink in the ground to deter the tunneling. I know that doesn't help you now, but just to let you know what you're up against. How old is Chewie? Maybe he'll outgrow it. If the balloons stop working, how about a modified Elizabethan collar like the vets use? Wouldn't have to be nearly so much like a satellite dish. Just something like the backend of a bleach jug with places to thread his collar through. Might not even have to go up past his ears. Keep a separate collar to put on when he goes out. Then he can't get his rotten little head under your expensive fence. Just a thought from a longtime dog owner.
