Dear friends and colleagues of Armand Singer,
A celebration of a life well-lived has been planned to honor Armand Singer, at 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2007, at Brooks Hall, WVU Main Campus, Morgantown, W.Va. We hope you will be able to join us to remember, reflect on, and reminisce about Dr. Singer’s multifaceted life. There are stories to be told and memories to be shared, and we hope to see you there.

Growing up on South Park Dr. Singer was a familiar sight as he walked down and up Grand Street. I remember one particularly snowy evening when my father, Gus Comuntzis, was driving us home. He saw Dr. Singer briskly walking up Grand Street. Dad stopped and offered Dr. Singer a ride. Dr. Singer just smiled and declined the offer. Both men smiled a smile I did not understand until I became an adult. Dr. Singer was so unique….absolutely unique. I know that his friend, Mrs. Herrera, misses him already!
