Growing up on South Park Dr. Singer was a familiar sight as he walked down and up Grand Street. I remember one particularly snowy evening when my father, Gus Comuntzis, was driving us home. He saw Dr. Singer briskly walking up Grand Street. Dad stopped and offered Dr. Singer a ride. Dr. Singer just smiled and declined the offer. Both men smiled a smile I did not understand until I became an adult. Dr. Singer was so unique....absolutely unique. I know that his friend, Mrs. Herrera, misses him already!
