Mark Brazaitis, associate professor and director of creative writing in WVU’s Department of English, is the 2008 recipient of the ABZ Press Poetry Prize for his manuscript, “The Other Language.”

As winner, the book of poems will be published in May.

Richard E. Holicker from the Holicker Law Office sent a cat haiku the other day. The poem has a strong second line that makes the whole thing work (thanks!):

Tiger chases flies.
Crouch, pounce, miss. Jump, spin, swipe. Purrrrr.
At last, she got one!
