BRAD PAISLEY: Co-hosts CMA Awards on Wednesday
CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Mountain State will be showcased briefly before an international audience when Brad Paisley co-hosts the CMA Awards show Wednesday at 8 p.m. on ABC, according to Pam Haynes at the W.Va. Film Office. The show will include tourism footage.
“The West Virginia Film Office received a request from the CMA Awards show to share tourism footage to be incorporated into a special segment with Brad Paisley during the show,” Haynes said.
Haynes said that while the WV Division of Tourism provided several minutes of footage for consideration, the final segment will only incorporate several seconds here and there. “The request was very specific, “Haynes said. “They were interested in mostly beauty shots and outdoor recreation.”
“We are thrilled that CMA has given West Virginia an opportunity to appear, so to speak, on a world stage,” said Betty Carver, commissioner of the WV Division of Tourism. “We are very proud of the success of Brad Paisley, one of our native sons, and it gives us great pleasure to provide CMA with footage to air during one of Brad’s segments.”

Again, the show airs Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
