MARK BRAZAITIS’ NEW BOOK

I mentioned this recently, but I want to give it another plug: Mark Brazaitis, associate professor and director of creative writing in WVU’s Department of English, has a first book of poems about to be released titled The Other Language.

Rebecca Herod at WVU writes, “Brazaitis’ poetry is centered on an American’s account of two years spent in Guatemala, and in [Heather] McHugh’s words, ’shaded by sympathies, brightened by affections, and cross-hatched by memories.’ Brazaitis credits his colleagues — James Harms and Mary Ann Samyn — for their inspiring example.

You may preorder the book from Amazon — it will be available in May by ABZ Press — and the bookstore will send it to you when it is released.
