The slide show and podcast feature an interview with well-known Mountain State metal sculptor Mark Blumenstein, who lives and works on a ridgetop in Southern West Virginia. The slideshow includes more than 75 photographs of his iron and silver pieces and takes you on a tour of his studio, land and new line of silver sculptures.  Blumenstein returned home one day this past April to discover The Greenbrier resort had called. It was one of those messages that means you’ll soon be dropping everything else you do. Michael Voltaggio, the chef at the resort’s new Hemisphere restaurant, loved Blumenstein’s work and wanted original centerpieces for all the tabletops. In just 12 weeks. Remaking retired Greenbrier silverware and silver equipment, the sculptor concocted a menagerie of centerpiece creatures for Hemisphere.
