With the release of “NCAA Football 2009″ just one week away, I thought it would be fun to celebrate what (hopefully) will be the epitome of college football gaming. From now until the game drops Tuesday, July 15, I’ll be giving daily updates on all things “NCAA 09.”
The National Football League has “NFL 2K5.” Baseball has “MLB: The Show 2008.” College football has “NCAA 04.” And tennis now has “Top Spin 3.”
2K Sports and developer PAM have created the most realistic and engrossing tennis sim to ever grace a console. No other game has even come close to capturing what it feels like to actually play tennis the way “Top Spin 3″ has.

When it comes to video games, greatness is often a subjective term. But there’s no denying that “Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots” has earned the right to bear that label.
In “Metal Gear Solid 4,” renowned developer Hideo Kojima has crafted a finely tuned masterpiece that will likely stand as one of the greatest games of this or any generation.
It is that good.
One of the most revered RPGs ever is about to be reborn – SquareEnix has announced plans to remake its classic “Chrono Trigger” for the Nintendo DS.
