‘Brutal Legend,’ ‘South Park’ reviewed

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

Happy Rocktober 13th! I can’t remember the last time two AAA games released on the same day, which is exactly what we have today with “Uncharted 2: Among Thieves” and “Brutal Legend.”

I reviewed “Uncharted 2″ last week and today I’ve posted my thoughts on “Brutal Legend,” which you can read at the Video Games section of wvgazette.com.  Wow, it’s a great time to be a gamer.

‘Uncharted 2′ review online; ‘Brutal Legend’ hands-on

Friday, October 9th, 2009

First, head over to the Video Games section of wvgazette.com to uncover my review of Nathan Drake’s latest adventure, “Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.” Simply put, this is one of the most fun games I’ve played on my PS3. I can’t wait until more people hop online — the multiplayer modes are a blast.

And finally, my review copy of “Brutal Legend” arrived earlier this week and I’m about halfway through the single-player campaign. Reviews are embargoed until Tuesday, but let me say this — WOW! I’m having a ton of fun right now just exploring and tackling side missions. This one is definitely living up to the hype.

‘Ultimate Alliance 2,’ ‘The Strike’ reviewed

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

I’ve posted reviews of “Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2″ and “Bass Pro Shops: The Strike” at the Video Games section of wvgazette.com. “Ultimate Alliance 2″ is more of the same hotness that was found in “M:UA” only now with 100% more Deadpool. And “The Strike” is hands down the best fishing game I’ve ever played. It comes packaged with a motion-sensing fishing rod controller that may be one of the most ingenious peripherals ever created. Yeah, it’s a fishing game. But if you like fishing, it’s a must own.
