Nintendo has announced its Wii Motion Plus controller attachment will arrive in stores June 8 and retail for a reasonable $19.99.
The accessory, which connects to the bottom of the Wii remote and increases the controller’s motion sensitivity to near 1-to-1 accuracy, will also be bundled with “Wii Sports Resort,” which ships July 26.
The advance release of the Wii Motion Plus is great news for sports gamers as both “Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10″ and “Grand Slam Tennis” — set to release in mid-June — take advantage of the new peripheral.
Mark it down on your calendar — “Madden NFL Football 2010″ arrives in stores Aug. 14.

… for the PlayStation 2. Beginning April 1, the PS2 will be available for $99.99, down from its current MSRP of $129.99. Sadly, no price cut was announced for the PS3.

Here’s the first official screenshot for “Madden NFL 2010.” The most obvious changes are the revamped player models and inclusion of referees on the field. Looks like a good start to me.
Nintendo surprised the crowd at the Game Developers Conference this week with the announcement of a new “Zelda” game — “The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks” for the DS.
The game bears a striking resemblance to the GameCube’s “Wind Waker” and features Link riding a train. No release date has been announced, though the game is expected to arrive later this year. Check out the trailer below. Read the rest of this entry »

I’ve recently started looking for a quality headset to accomodate my late-night gaming habits. Apparently my wife doesn’t enjoy listening to the sounds of “Fallout 3″ coming from my 1000-watt surround sound system downstairs at 1 a.m. Imagine that.
Anyhow, in my search for a personal sound solution I stumbled up the AX Pro 5.1 surround sound headset by TRITTON Technologies. Compatible with both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (one headset for all my gaming needs? I’m sold!), the AX Pro is being featured on the World Cyber Games’ “Ultimate Gamer” reality show, which premieres Tuesday at 10 p.m. EST on the Sci-Fi Channel.
I haven’t had a chance to try out the AX Pro yet, but it’s certainly piqued my interest. Check it out for yourself at TRITTON’s Web site.
