Calling all WV filmmakers - send films to Richard Bartram
Huntington Public Access TV(Comcast Channel 20) is constantly looking for new material to air — ESPECIALLY film and video work from local filmmakers. There is NO CHARGE to qualify for airing the work. There is no unqualified judgment passed upon the finished work. Unfortunately, there is no cash or trophy prizes — but, (more importantly) there is always a guaranteed audience.
If any filmmaker is interested in submitting work for airing on Huntington Public Access TV, he/she should contact me via email: access_channel_20@yahoo.com
or go to the following website for more info: http://cinemystique.home.zoomnet.net/
Also, one of the programs that I produce for Huntington Public Access (Prof. Fortunato’s Fright Fest) is looking specifically for short horror/sci-fi/fantasy films to air along with the weekly horror films that broadcast each week. A link to the program’s site (and more info for filmmakers) is:http://fright_fest.home.zoomnet.net/
Some episodes of ‘Fright Fest’ have aired outside of the state, so this is a good opportunity for filmmakers to have their work seen in other states.
It is important to note that the local cable company does not answer questions, nor collect or provide programming for Huntington Public Access TV. All inquiries concerning Public Access should be directed only to the above email address. Information from other parties can be deceptively misleading. (Second hand accounts of filmmakers being told that public access tv is not available to them have filtered down to me.)I’ll be happy to answer any and all questions asked. Public Access TV is a great opportunity for any filmmaker whose greatest concern is finding an appreciative audience. If you have any contacts with individual filmmakers in the area, please pass the word.
Best Regards,Richard Bartram
