
Friends of the Appalachian Mountains,
The cicadas are singing, the compost pile is putting out lots of volunteer squash and gourds, and the ironweed is almost nine feet tall with bright purple blossoms, so I guess that summer is starting to wind down. In September I’m going out on the road again with the Mountaintop Removal Road Show, and I’d love to come and speak to your college,community or church group this fall.

I’m a full time unpaid volunteer fighting this horrible coal mining practice - there is no charge for the presentation, but donations for gas and travel expenses are gratefully accepted.
