Argeo speaking before US premiere of his new film on Spanish people moving to WV and Pa in May 2007 at The South Charleston Museum

Luis Argeo will be present to introduce his great film. “AsturianUS,”  about people from northern Spain emigrating  to WV and Pennsylvania on Thursday, January 31, 7 :15PM at the King Juan Carlos Center of NYU. Prof. James D. Fernandez will introduce Argeo and help in the discussion.

 In May 2007 Argeo flew from Madrid to South Charleston to introduce the American premiere of his film which had already been shown in Madrid and in Asturias, the northern province of Spain where he grew up. You can read much more about the film on this WV film blog here.  I chose this film as one of the “Ten Best WV films of 2007.”Congrats to Luis - we hope to see him again here in WV.
